Led by Changhua City Mayor Shih-Hsien Lin and CEO Fu-Yang Yu, the alliance grew out of drone forums and industry briefings rooted in Changhua's local industry, expanding nationwide across all sectors within a year.

On January 28, 2026, during a group visit to NCSIST, it was officially renamed from the “Changhua Unmanned Vehicle Industry Alliance” to the “Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance.”

It is now one of Taiwan's largest private-sector platforms in the sector, measured by event frequency and membership.

Markets such as Europe, the US, and India restrict “whole-aircraft imports” by policy and are instead shifting to large-scale “modular procurement” — which is Taiwan's opportunity. The alliance's approach has three steps: 1. Precise module positioning: breaking the UAV industry into seven modules, we help members assess their own technology and find the best entry point. 2. Team-based integrated development: connecting specialists across different modules to jointly develop products that meet international standards, so members are not competing against global incumbents on their own. 3. Connecting to international certification and system integration (SI): we help members connect with in-market partners overseas and obtain international safety certifications, and directly introduce them to system integrators in Europe, the US, Japan, and India — so your quality components and technology are seen by the global market.
