About the Alliance

Our Mission
The Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance (UVAI) was founded in July 2025 to integrate the full supply chain of Taiwan's unmanned vehicle industry and build an open, collaborative ecosystem. More than 300 companies joined in the first year, and membership now exceeds 2,000, spanning complete vehicles, components and AI systems.
Taiwan holds the advantages this industry needs: precision manufacturing, a semiconductor and electronic component supply chain, and deep software talent. The alliance connects those resources. In September 2026 it announced three strategies - chip autonomy, field validation and industry-academia integration - and consolidated the related technologies into eight supply chain modules, helping companies move from component manufacturing to autonomous systems and complete vehicles.

ISO Supply Chain Transformation Forum & MOU Signing
Held the 'From ISO Revision to Supply Chain Upgrade' forum at the Asia Bay Startup Park in Kaohsiung with over 250 representatives from industry, government, and academia, showcasing the UAV industry's seven core modules. The Alliance also signed an MOU with CoreTech System and TSV to deepen cooperation in digital transformation and smart manufacturing
AI WAVE SHOW 2026 Themed Forum
Hosted the forum "Taiwan's Next Pillar Industry: The Unmanned Vehicle Ecosystem" at AI WAVE SHOW in Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, with four speakers from academia and industry covering drones and AI, multimodal perception and autonomous decision-making, and edge computing integration on the factory floor, presenting a full picture of Taiwan's unmanned vehicle ecosystem
Taiwan Autonomous Unmanned Systems Strategy Forum
Co-hosted with the Taichung City Association for Industrial and Commercial Development at National Chung Hsing University, the "Taiwan's Next Pillar Industry" strategy forum brought together ten speakers from industry and academia covering autonomous AI chips, intelligent sensing, Physical AI, and smart manufacturing. The event featured the autonomous AI chip endorsement ceremony, the launch of the UVAI x NCKU joint R&D center, live unmanned vehicle demonstrations, and business matchmaking
Closing the Distance to AI: Solutions Enterprises Actually Need
Held at digiBlock C in Taipei, guided by the Administration for Digital Industries and organised by the Institute for Information Industry, with UVAI, the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association and Regulus Technologies as co-executors. Ten AI specialist companies each had ten minutes to present solutions to real industry problems.
Unmanned Vehicle Technology Matchmaking Forums in Taichung and Taipei
Part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs SME and Startup Administration programme on cross-domain R&D for SME transformation, executed by the Institute for Information Industry and commissioned to UVAI and the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association. The Taichung session was held on 23 September and the Taipei session on 6 October, bringing technology providers and buyers together with exhibitor booths on site.
Co-host of the 2026 Taichung AI & Smart Manufacturing Expo
UVAI co-hosted the expo at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center from 1 to 4 October, which introduced its first National Defence and Dual-Use Industrial Technology Pavilion. At the opening, UVAI signed a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce of North America (TCCNA), witnessed by Deputy Legislative Speaker Chiang Chi-chen. Seven industry forums were held across the four days.
