Part of the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration's 2026 programme for cross-domain R&D-led SME transformation, executed by the Institute for Information Industry and commissioned to the Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance and the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association, with support from Regulus Technologies, GridOne, Digiwin DigiKnow and Advantech.

Six companies brought their technology and real-world deployments: Wiseome on optical distance sensing, LongLink on NDAA-compliant drone communication kits built on a China-free supply chain, Advantech on edge AI and sensor fusion, SOIC Marine Solutions on autonomous hydrographic survey vessels, Claivora on digital-twin training and trustworthy edge AI, and AWAREK on thermal-imaging Edge Physical AI.

In one afternoon the programme covered the key technology chain from sensing, communications and computing to autonomous vessels, digital twins and thermal imaging. 58 industry participants attended, using the exhibitor booths and open networking time to meet complementary partners directly.

Four expert companies shared hands-on experience: SteadyBeat on acoustic and multimodal AI, AutoSys on autonomous navigation in extreme environments, Hyway on its transformation from lawn-mower engines to drones, and AWAREK on thermal-imaging Edge Physical AI.

Seven exhibitor booths, an open discussion and free networking time gave cross-domain R&D companies and Alliance members a direct route to complementary partners.

Co-hosted by the Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance (UVAI) and the Taichung City Association for Industrial and Commercial Development, organised by the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association, the forum drew nearly 400 representatives from industry, government and academia under the theme "autonomous AI chips powering the industry ecosystem."

Three strategies were announced on site: chip autonomy - developing domestic high-performance AI chips with Powerchip-related partner Pan Xu Intelligence and promoting common specifications and standardised chip templates; field validation - building a demonstration site with Dyaco International that links its Taiwan plant with its production base in Arkansas, USA; and industry-academia integration - establishing the UVAI Multi-Vehicle Research Center with the NCKU Research and Development Foundation.

Ten speakers covered autonomous AI chips, intelligent sensing, Physical AI and smart manufacturing, alongside live demonstrations and business matchmaking.

The Alliance aims to extend Taiwan's strengths in semiconductors, ICT and precision manufacturing into drones, unmanned vessels, robotics and autonomous vehicles, moving from component manufacturing to complete autonomous systems within a resilient, non-red supply chain.

Guided by the Administration for Digital Industries, MODA and hosted by the Institute for Information Industry, with the Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance, the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association and Regulus Technologies as executing partners.

Ten AI solution providers each took ten minutes to present real industry problems and how they solve them, with two networking breaks so attendees could talk to vendors on the spot.

The Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance hosted a themed forum at AI WAVE SHOW 2026 on "Taiwan's Next Pillar Industry: The Unmanned Vehicle Ecosystem," featuring four speakers from academia and industry.

Topics ranged from drones converging with AI and where the technology is heading, to multimodal perception and autonomous decision-making in unmanned systems, to bridging factory communication protocols with GCS Edge AI.

The forum closed with an industry-wide perspective on how Taiwan can link research, manufacturing, application and service into a more complete unmanned vehicle ecosystem.

Co-organized by the Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance and the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association, the forum drew over 250 representatives from industry, government, and academia. Focusing on the ISO 9001:2026 revision, supply chain upgrading, and sustainable governance, it showcased the UAV industry's seven core modules. The Alliance also signed an MOU with CoreTech System and TSV to deepen cooperation in digital transformation and smart manufacturing.

Alliance members visited a precision gear manufacturing facility in Tainan to explore aerospace component machining capabilities. The visit was combined with company briefings and a UAV-focused exchange session to promote industry dialogue and supply chain partnership opportunities.

Co-hosted by the Taiwan Unmanned Vehicle Alliance (UVAI), the Taiwan Sustainable Value Co-Creation Association (TSV), and Chienkuo Technology University, the Taiwan UAV Business Matchmaking Conference was held at Chienkuo Technology University in Changhua.

In collaboration with Huayu Enterprise Management, seminars on UAV supply chain compliance strategy were held in Taichung, Taoyuan, and Tainan. Focused on ISO 27001 certification and market positioning strategies, the events helped alliance members understand supply chain compliance requirements and business opportunities.

Over 200 alliance members visited the NCSIST Lungtan Campus in Taoyuan for a one-day study tour, gaining insight into Taiwan's national defense technology R&D capabilities and exploring opportunities for UAV defense applications and supply chain cooperation with NCSIST.

Co-hosted with Hsuhung Metal Co., Ltd., this technology and business exchange forum attracted representatives from over 150 companies. Hsuhung Metal's President Chieh-Min Lien was appointed Honorary Vice Chairman of the Alliance. The event showcased advanced manufacturing technologies including powder metallurgy, AI-assisted sintering processes, and intelligent inspection systems.

Organized an India–Taiwan industry exchange and dinner to foster cooperation between the two countries' industries, deepen bilateral supply chain connections, and explore business opportunities in the Indian market for Taiwan's UAV manufacturers.

Co-hosted with the Taiwan Composite Materials Low-Carbon Circular Alliance, this technology and business exchange forum explored UAV composite material applications, low-carbon manufacturing processes, and circular economy strategies, promoting cross-industry supply chain integration.
